World Press Freedom Heroes

Hrant Dink

In celebration of the 50th anniversary in 2000, the IPI board gave 50 awards for outstanding achievements in the struggle for press freedom. Since then, IPI has posthumously honoured Russian investigative reporter Anna Politkovskaya and Turkish-Armenian editor Hrant Dink.

Free Media Pioneer Award
